Happy Birthday Jess

So.
Saturday is the Circus. The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus. I've always wondered who all of these separate entities are. According to their website, there are five Ringling Brothers, one Barnum and one Bailey. The Ringling brothers apparently are from Barboo, Wisconsin. By far the coolest named town there. Bailey has a cool beard. Barnum looks a little stuffy, but hey, he gave us the circus, so no pointing fingers from me.

We're going with Jake and Karlee which should be fun. I don't think either of them have been to the circus before. I went as a little kid with the fam and then for the Homecoming dance my senior year of high school. Definitely awesome.

Maybe I'll take some pictures and post them. That could be fun.

Bueno, I finally got back, and am brand new at this whole blog- thing. Kinda freaky, like who would be interested in what I had for dinner. Right.

So Saturday we went the the Cache County Demolition Derby, which was awesome. It's a great opportunity to get all trashed out in the the craziest clothes you can find, make your hair into a fo', and get all crazy. The highlight of the whole night was a car getting flipped all the way over (rare, for those non-derby-goers out there). I had a random thought during the event:

Humanity packed together like sardines, waiting with bated breathe for impending destruction, a foreshadowing of their fated lives, ignored yet held so close.

Someday I will drive in one, the crazy car the crowd loves, going all out. Just gotta find a car.
I love screaming like a madman, embarassing Ali and all that good stuff. Thats all for now. Empapate de la vida, y gozaras.

A little more cowbell

Had a seriously fun weekend with the fam.
We drove down Saturday evening to hang out with Brian and Clara, then Michelle flew in that night. On our way down we stopped at Smith and Edwards, which may I say has a whole bunch of good good crap, bought some weird buttery toffee-ish peanuts and all in all had a fun time.

Church Sunday was fun (and severely early 8:30), mostly because we had sweedish fish and peanut m&m's to eat for three hours. I split them up into little baggies for easier access. Quite a popular idea.

Sunday night we had all the family over and once again the Starkey's had a fabulously loud and fun dinner. Mom made peach pies and Miguel, Brian and Clara made peach ice cream. I love going home. I eat so well there!

Family is awesome. Loud, crazy and awesome.

Receiving multiple compliments on "System of a Down" T-shirt

Juan was supposed to get his itinerary on Friday. Not so. They told him he should get it Tuesday morning. Very helpful since Tuesday is the day he graduates.

I'm ridiculously excited to have him home, but it honestly won't feel real until he's at the airport and on the plane.

Spending the weekend in Fruit Heights. No need to be hanging out for the last weekend alone alone. Did a bit of shopping, errands, just hanging out with the fam.
