ANTM

It's not as though your butt is glued to the couch. But it sure feels like it.

This last weekend John was roofing. This left me with a little time on my hands. Time to clean, do homework, rake leaves, paint nails, do laundry, read a thought provoking book, and countless other valuable opportunities. However, almost none of these were accomplished. I say this because I did a little laundry and a little cleaning during commercial breaks.

Do you ever get sucked into TV? Not even good TV. Trashy, lame, worthless television. Previously, I have watched True Hollywood Stories Investigate, The Real Truth About Lindsey Lohan, Best Childstars of The 80's. My all time favorite TV time waster is nearly any kind of countdown or "Best Of" list. VH1 is wonderful for this rubbish. However, this weekend I was sucked into reruns of entire seasons of America's Next Top Model. Ridiculous. Some how I was sucked in for multiple (I cannot say how many) hours. And I still don't know who got kicked off season four! At the beginning of this episode I decided to drag my butt off the couch and go out. I ended up going shopping because I couldn't think of anything better to do. Instead of wasting away on the couch, I wasted money. Much more productive.

1. Teenagers are squirrelly.
2. The older you get, the more you swear you weren't like them.
3. Actually you probably were.

So the Circus...

So we went to the barnum and Bailey Ringling Bro's Circus with our friends Jake and Karlee. It was raining and nasty all the way down from Logan, so we got to the Delta Center and rolled in. I peeked my head through one of the doors as we were a bit late getting there, and this wave of crazy music and bright lights hit me, freaking me out, really. We went up to the very top section in the corner, sat down, and were instantly overwhelmed by all the noise, bright lights, and crazy stuff going on way below. The clown were kinda weird, not really spooky as I had thought, but still kinda weird. The "Main Clown" was named Bello, and they had this retarded song -Bello-Brate, and it was annoying. They had the elephants (way cool) the acrobats were way cool- they kept flipping people up making this human stack off of a seesaw. Two people would jump on one side off of a ladder, launching the person standing on it backwards up onto three or four people already standing on each others shoulders. Crazy.

I had a thought- who actually works in a circus- who does that? Like, How do they get into it, run away with it, do they recruit, and what happens when they get out? I can just imagine the college or work application- Former work experience- Traveled with circus for three years...

Really. Really. Weird. and fascinatingly funny.
