'Tis the season
I love Christmas songs. I start listening the day after Halloween. Because of this, I definitely think I am in the know about the good, bad and ugly Christmas songs. Beware, your favorite song may be on my ugly list. . .
Songs I secretly love, and am a little embarrassed to love them so much
This Gift- 98 Degrees
It Must Have Been The Mistletoe
Santa Baby
Last Christmas (I Gave You My Heart)
Hey Santa- Carnie and Wendy Wilson
The Chipmunk Song (especially the Jaci Velasquez version)
Songs I Openly dislike, and it may be just the artist, not the song
Mary Did You Know? - Wynona Judd & Kenny Rogers
Just hate it
Christmas Shoes- Bob Carlisle
Too sappy for my cold, black heart
The Little Drummer Boy (only when it is sung. by anyone ever)
Mostly not enjoying the Davie Bowie version, but pretty much everytime I hear rum-pa-pa-pum I want to poke myself in the eye. You should know however, when it's done by an orchestra or any other instrumental version, I think it can be decent
Silent Night- Wilson Phillips
Boo. Stick to "Hey Santa".
O Holy Night- any time it's countrified
Why massacre such a lovely song by twanging it up?
Run Run Rudolph
Makes me feel frantic. I don't need any more of that in the Christmas season
* If you'd like a laugh, or just to get a little freaked out, look at the link on "Hey Santa" for the music video through youtube. Priceless.

A concert, halloween costumes brought to you by crap from your house and two great cakes
Who is it?
Why Johnny Appleseed of course!

This was me being a tree, having one of my kids as the giraffe, eat me.
Sara, Amy, yours truly
Sara and I. I must clarify that Sara is a carhop. Some have supposed that she is a naughty nurse. Not so.
We got tickets through a friend's friend's brother to go to Dashboard Confessional, Panic At The Disco and Plain White Tee's. We decided to be cool people and take Juan's little sisters. This is us trying to look emo.

Boo
Reasons why this weekend rocked.
-I got to go to Mimi's Cafe with one of my best friends
-Attempting to eat MASSIVE sandwich with Cass
-Laughing hard at our mom-like waitress
-Sharing the sandwich with Juan
-Uh, I had Friday off of work
-I went to an awesome cabin with the bro, sis in law and the adorable nephew
-Got to drive a four wheeler for the first time
-Getting to hang out, play games, eat a lot of soup with Brian, Clara, Juan and Will
-Built a fire at the cabin and at my parents cold, cold, cold house
-Got to sleep in for three days in a row
-Because it snowed, John was a good sport and listened to Christmas music with me in the car all the way home to the valley
-
Here's some pics to prove how awesome it was.
